Longtime Worth Avenue tenant Giorgio Armani plans to close its island boutique at the end of February, according to Worth Avenue Association general manager Robin Miller.

The luxury Italian brand has been a fixture on the avenue since it opened at 243 Worth Ave. in 1992. The high-end menswear store underwent a major renovation in 2004.

The brand has not responded to requests for comment.

Since town rules don’t allow major construction work on the avenue until May 1, it’s likely a new tenant won’t open until next season.

Miller said it’s “not unusual to see comings and goings periodically.”

American fashion firm Tory Burch plans to close its island boutique at 150 Worth Ave. at the end of April, according to The Esplanade property management.
