Jerome and Anne C. Fisher have nearly doubled the size of their North End lakefront estate on North Woods Road with the addition of two properties just east of it.

A limited liability company controlled by Anne Fisher bought the properties for a combined $10.25 million, according to the deeds recorded by the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office.

Stretching between North and South Woods roads, the properties expand the Fishers’ land from 1.89 acres to nearly 3.5 acres, according to figures in county property records. Their home on the lake has about 360 feet of waterfront, records show.

The properties at 318 N. Woods Road and 315 S. Woods Road were sold, respectively, by a trust in the name of the late Morris L. Levinson and a limited liability company named Woods Landing LLC. The deeds listed New York City attorney Lawrence S. Blumberg as the trustee of the trust and as a contact for Woods Landing LLC.

The properties were bought by A&J; Woods Holdings LLC, a company with a name apparently derived in part from the initials of the first names of the Fishers, who live at 334 N. Woods Road. That company paid a recorded $8.25 million for the lot next door to them at No. 318, which measures 1.29 acres and contains two houses. They also bought a smaller contiguous parcel to its east at 315 S. Woods Road for a recorded $2 million. The latter is vacant except for a swimming pool.

The properties were not listed for sale in the multiple listing services that serve the island. It was unclear whether any real estate agencies were involved in the sales. Attorney Blumberg did not return a call for comment.

The late Barbara S. Levinson, who died in January 2008, and her late husband, industrialist and philanthropist Morris L. Levinson, had for years owned 318 N. Woods Road. Morris Levinson had paid $760,000 for the property in 1981. Ownership transferred to his widow after his death in 1993, and later to the trust that just sold it.

Built in 1974 with Bermuda-style architecture, the larger of the houses acquired by the Fishers has five bedrooms and 4,792 square feet of living space inside and out. The smaller house, fronting South Woods Road, was built in 1938 and has four bedrooms and 3,446 total square feet.

The property at 318 N. Woods Road has been leased over the past few years, with negotiations handled by the Corcoran Group, said agent Jim McCann, whose last MLS listing for the property expired in 2010. McCann said he wasn’t involved in last week’s sales.

Corcoran’s for-lease listing, however, described the property as a “spectacular lot” with “a huge pool and lots of green space, ideal for entertaining guests.”

A phone message left at the Fisher home was not returned Thursday, so it is unclear what the couple plans to do with their new property.

The Fishers paid $6.335 million for their lakefront house, which was completed in 1998, according to property records. Their lot had previously been owned by George and Betsy Matthews, who sold it in 1994.

Jerome Fisher co-founded the Nine West shoe company. The Fishers are known for their interest in art and for their philanthropy, which includes gifts to health-care organizations, the University of Pennsylvania and the Norton Museum of Art, where a gallery is named after them. The Jerome and Anne C. Fisher Charitable Foundation also has been a major supporter of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, among other organizations.

The company that bought the properties is listed in state business records with the same address as the Fishers’ lakefront home. The deeds of sale for both properties were dated Dec. 21 and recorded Dec. 28.
