David L. and Gabriela Porges of Pittsburgh have paid $3.1 million for a lakefront condominium and its cabana in the Parc Regent at 184 Bradley Place, according to a deed recorded May 7 by the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office.

David Porges is chairman of the board of
Pittsburgh-based EQT Corp., one of the country’s largest producers of natural gas, according to its website.

No. 302, a three-
bedroom apartment, was the longtime home of the late Sylvia Dubick Spitzer, who died in 2010. She and her husband, the late George Spitzer, bought the apartment in 1987 and shared it until his death in 1999.

Assisted by Mindy Gordon, broker Scott Gordon of Scott Gordon Realty in Manalapan acted on behalf of Sylvia Spitzer’s estate, which was represented by her children, Libby Dubick, Mitchell B. Dubick and Charles L. Dubick, according to the April 30 deed.

Agent Wally Turner of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyers, who are new to Palm Beach; they own no other property in the county under their names, according to public records.

In a building of 15 units next to the Palm Beach Biltmore, the apartment has 3,500 square feet of living space, inside and out, along with 9-foot ceilings throughout. Gordon had listed it and its pool cabana for $3.75 million.

Last December in an article about the apartment, Libby Dubick told the Shiny Sheet that her mother enjoyed her condo, which Dubick often visited: “We loved to sit on the balcony at cocktail time watching the sunset,” she said.

The office shuffle — Mirsky Valore has moved into its new digs in Suite 311 at Royal Poinciana Plaza. The real estate agency, part of the massive Keyes Luxury Portfolio network, didn’t have to lug its computers very far. The new office is just steps from the agency’s former location in the plaza, 340 Royal Palm Way.

Broker Norma Mirsky, managing director J. Richard Allison and about 50 real estate agents made the move last week, reports agency co-founder and sales manager Kevin Leonard. Next door to TooJay’s Gourmet Deli, the new office is about twice the size of the old one, Leonard says.

Meanwhile, Sterling Palm Beach, the company that manages the plaza, has already filled Mirsky Valore’s old space. Hall Real Estate Palm Beach, which opened this season and had an office nearby at the Slat House building, was expected this week to move into Suite 301, says broker Steve Hall, who co-owns the agency with his wife, agent Renee Hall. Along with his mother, agent Betsey Hall, they’ve made the trek to their new offices across the south parking lot.

Joining the Hall team as vice president of sales is Gil Messing, who this week left Barclays International Realty in Palm Beach. Before that, he was with the Corcoran Group.

A Palm Beach resident for nearly 40 years, Messing is particularly well-versed in the island’s condominium market, having sold a number of apartments in prominent buildings such as the Winthrop House and Sun & Surf.

Messing once sat on the town’s Architectural Review Commission and, along with his wife, Judy, has volunteered for a number of nonprofit groups.

“Gil has an incredible knowledge of the Palm Beach real estate market. His negotiating and sales skills are first rate,” Steve Hall said in the announcement that Messing had become the agency’s fourth agent.

Messing did not disclose any listings he will bring to the agency.
