Mai V. Harrison has sold her Palm Beach Regency-style house in the Estate Section at 760 S. County Road to Bellacino Holdings LLC, which paid $8.467 million for the lakefront property, according to the deed recorded Friday by the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office.

Harrison had bought the five-bedroom house with her late husband, Ridgely, in 2000 for $6.35 million, property records show. The former owner and CEO of Minwax died in 2006.

Agent Betsey Hall of Hall Real Estate was the listing agent and had represented the house before she left Fite Shavell & Associates in October 2011 to join Hall Real Estate. It was last priced at $11.995 million, according to records in the Palm Beach Board of Realtors’ Multiple Listing Service.

Broker Lawrence Moens of Lawrence A. Moens Associates acted on behalf of the Florida limited liability company that bought the house.

Designed by society architect John Volk and built in 1957 for members of the Dodge family, the house has 8,165 square feet of living space, inside and out. It stands on a lot measuring a little more than three-quarters of an acre with 105 feet of water frontage and a lakefront pool.

“It’s a little paradise, peaceful and lovely, with the most beautiful sunsets at night,” Harrison told the Shiny Sheet in a 2010 article about the house.

The property is midway between the southern edge of the Everglades Golf Course and the point where South County Road curves to join South Ocean Bouelvard. Because of the way the house is positioned on the lot and its curved driveway, it can’t be seen from the street.

“I love the front courtyard and garden with the old trees. The whole feeling is wonderful, I think. In the foyer, you see through to the pool and the water,” Harrison said in the article.

The property’s amenities include a two-bedroom staff apartment over the attached garage.

The buyer’s address was listed on the deed as in care of real estate attorney Maura Ziska’s office in West Palm Beach. Moens declined to comment on the transaction, and no other information about the buyer was available.

The Harrisons bought the house from Sara Gadd, the widow of developer Damon Gadd, who built the Sugarbush Resort ski facility in Vermont.
