Millards sell Polmer Park home to Fromers for $17.1M

Sitting on a high point on the North End, the Polmer Park estate with a gated drive was designed by architect Henry Harding in 1969. The six-bedroom home includes a pool and frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway.


Craig and Michele Millard have sold their house at 340 Polmer Park for $17.1 million to Palm Beach residents Ann and Robert Fromer, according to the warranty deed filed Thursday.

Gardenia House had been listed for $24 million. The seller was represented by Wally Turner, sales associate with Sotheby's International Real Estate. Lawrence A. Moens, of Lawrence Moens & Associates, was the agent for the buyers.

Taking into account various seller and buyer agreements, the selling price approached $18 million, other real estate sources said.

The warranty deed filed Thursday recorded the price as $17.1 million.

In 2001, the Millards bought the property for $9.6 million, according to Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's Office records.

Situated on the North End's lakeside ridge atop one of the island's highest points, the six-bedroom house is the centerpiece of an estate with a gated drive, pool and Intracoastal Waterway frontage. Designed in 1969 by architect Henry Harding and built by Robert Gottfried, the villa features 14-foot ceilings, a chef's kitchen and a first-floor master suite with a sitting room.

The house was once owned by John Deere family heiress, the late Nancy "Trink" Deere Wiman Wakeman Gardiner.
