Not your grandma’s Florida: Palm Beach restaurants, hotels ‘cool’

Palm Beach County is cool, and so are some places on the island, according to the New York Post.

The county is still “overrun with long-in-the-tooth, snooty socialites draped in Lilly Pulitzer,” the newspaper said, but there’s a “hipper underbelly to the 5-6-1.”

From restaurants and craft breweries to entertainment and resorts, the paper highlights several reasons why Palm Beach isn’t just “your grandmother’s Florida anymore.”

On the island, the news organization mentions Cooklyn, scheduled to open next season inside The Esplanade on Worth Avenue; newly designed Cafe Boulud at The Brazilian Court; The Breakers and its Flagler Club and renovated spa; and The Colony’s Royal Room.

The story also features the Kravis Center, SunFest, “Cultural Concierge,” Mounts Botanical Garden, the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art and Antique Show and CityPlace.
