Root Trail nearly out of real estate listings

Jimmy Buffett’s former beachfront home on South Ocean Boulevard has entered the market — see the story on the front in today’s Shiny Sheet — but the singer’s tastes also run to simpler houses. Just take a look at Root Trail, where he owns three properties that would hardly qualify as mansions.His properties there include two remodeled houses at 135A and 135B that he acquired last spring – for $950,000 and $1.3 million, respectively – and owns through Sadeca Realty LLC.

Buffett’s sales focused a spotlight on the historic street lined with charming apartments and beach cottages. It’s become a real estate hot spot of late.The latest property identified as a “pending” sale in the local MLS is the two-bedroom cottage at No. 149, which was built in 1928 but described as “totally rebuilt” in the listing prepared by agent M.J. McElwaney of Golden Bear Realty of North Palm Beach.
