Vintage Estate Section house sells for $7.29M

Sterling Morton Hamill has sold 177 Clarendon Ave., his 1920s-era Mediterranean-style house on a prime Estate Section street, for $7.29 million, according to a deed recorded Wednesday.Lisa B. Bair and her husband, Paul M. Pompeo, bought the estate, according to documents recorded at the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office.

The couple has ties to New Vernon, N.J., but plans to use the house — their first in Palm Beach — as their primary home, Bair said.Hamill, whose great-grandfather founded Morton Salt, married Heidelinde M. Alexandra Kauka in 2011, and the couple resides in a vintage house she bought on El Brillo Way earlier that year.
